of Africa and African Leadership Studies.
ALUSA establishes and hosts academic research programmes to advance knowledge and enhance
the impact of unique African ways of leading in diverse professional and societal sectors.
ALUSA sets out to bring together academics, industry specialists and students from various professional and academic fields to explore existing and build new knowledge, and to teach and study critical questions
on leadership of and for Africa.
Continuous Professional Development
We offer partners and clients continuous professional development (CPD) programmes that focus on executive and professional leadership skills, which consist of standardised and/or customised short learning courses which we offer on-site, online and in mixed mode.
Qualifications
We offer only online degrees*** that include honours, master
and doctorate programmes (enrollments 2025 tbc) that specialise in Africa and Leadership Studies as the primary subject areas, and secondary subject areas selected based on the professional field and sector with which a student engages in his/her research.
Research seminars, academic conferences and other scholarly events are hosted on-site on campuses or other venues in partnership with other institutions, often in hybrid format with virtual attendees.
Research and Publications
ALUSA establishes and hosts reseach centres across scientific and professional fields that will support and further its commitment to advancing new knowledge for and of Africa.
While the ALUSA Senate does not determine the academic framework or direct their research programmes, ALUSA research centres focus on African questions and problems, engage with a range of discplines in their work, and therefore straddle in various ways the spectrum of inter-, multi- and transdisciplinary study.
ALUSA similarly establishes or hosts academic journals that promote the publication of research relevant to the focus of the institution, as well as to advance knowledge work and application across disciplines and professional sectors.
