QUALIFICATIONS

Our degree* programmes are only offered online and include an honours, master and doctorate programme in African Leadership Studies and its impact on unique and diverse professions and societal sectors.

Bachelor Honours in African Leadership

At honours degree level (120 credits, NQF level 8) students engage generally with the fields of Leadership and Africa Studies, and with African Leadership Studies in particular. Students complete a supervised real-world study and research report to graduate.

Master of African Leadership

At master degree level (240 credits, NQF level 9) students specialise in comparative studies of African Leadership, namely by comparing different African continental models with models originating elsewhere from the global South and North, as well as to compare the application of unique models across sectors. Students complete a supervised real-world study and mini-dissertation to graduate.

Doctor of African Leadership

At doctoral degree level (360 credits, NQF 10) students specialise in research and academic publication in African Leadership Studies. Students under supervision develop a research project (or continue with a current research programme) to investigate a particular question on African Leadership but does so in conjunction with and co-supervised by industry specialists of the sector with which the study engages. Students must successfully defend their research and full dissertation to graduate.
